Traditional African palm juice. Renowned for its smoothness, Palmi is a low alcohol drink sourced from palm trees and has pride of place in traditional African ceremonies. It is widely believed to be medicinal and some argue it is also aphrodisiac. It is called emu, oguro, krika or yawa in parts of Africa and toddy, jaggery or kittul in Asian countries of India, Malaysia and Indonesia. |
