Yam Flour

Our Yam Flour is produced from a root tuber, called Yam, which is grown across Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean’s. The yams are peeled, washed, and cut into pieces; then left to dry naturally in the sun, so all the natural flavours and nutrients are retained. This results in our sun-ripened, nutrient rich yams that are milled into this fine flour.

Yam flour is a finely milled flour made from dried yam tubers, commonly used to prepare traditional dishes like pounded yam and fufu. It has a mild, slightly sweet flavor and creates a smooth, stretchy dough when cooked with hot water.
For best results, gradually add yam flour to boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Use about ½ to 1 cup per serving depending on desired consistency. Serve warm alongside soups and stews for an authentic experience.
