  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios

Method

  1. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and ground cardamom over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  2. Remove it from the heat and let it cool. Strain to remove cardamom pods.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  5. In the last few minutes of churning, add chopped pistachios. Transfer to a container and freeze until firm.
