Ingredients

  • 2 cups Ofada rice
  • 1 cup Ofada pepper sauce
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, blended
  • 1 onion, diced + 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Seasoning: thyme, bay leaves, ground crayfish, salt, pepper
  • Optional: chicken, shrimp, or fish

Method

  1. Rinse and set aside the Ofada rice.
  2. Sauté onion and bell pepper in oil until soft.
  3. Add pepper sauce, tomatoes, crayfish, thyme, bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in rice, add water, cover and simmer until tender.
  5. Add protein in the last 10 minutes, fluff and serve.
